Migration Law and Practice
The 11th issue of Migration Law & Practice, Australia is available.
There have been a lot of changes in the last few months and you can’t afford not to be up to date on the latest migration law. For first time subscribers who start subscribing issue with 11, you will also get issue 10 free of charge.
Issue 10 and 11 are being loaded onto the journal website. Subscribers will be given a password and those issues of the journal will be available for you to search words and phrases and otherwise do research. Progressively past issues of the journal will be added to the website.
What distinguishes Migration Law & Practice from other sources is that this Journal puts changes into perspective and it tracks changes, which in migration practice are numerous. There’s valuable advice in this issue which for some clients will save their lives in a migration sense. So many people have now reported that they have picked up information in this journal which has helped them succeed in visa applications or reviews or resist cancellations. It has also been used in the Courts.
As I have said in the past, even if you find that there is only one strategically useful fact in it in one year, it will have paid for itself probably many times over. So by analysing the cases in both the courts and the tribunals we give you important tactical options that you will not get from DIAC.
I see the biggest role of the Journal as reporting on change – changes to the regulations, the Migration Act, the PAM and summaries of interesting cases in the High Court, Federal Court.
You can also buy a draft client contract $99 which I believe complies with the Code of Conduct and papers from our migration seminars are also available.
I welcome your comments, your contributions and your subscription. I look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes
